Course description

The course is designed to build students’ skills in managing business operations in a small to medium type organisations whether public or private.

The course is suitable for prospective or current entrepreneurs, operations supervisors or, people who would like to work or build a career in the field of general management.

Through this Diploma students are expected to be able to manage their businesses with high level of independence. They are expected  to:

• Work autonomously in a business environment with little supervision,
• Supervise and guide team members,
• Take responsibility for planning and managing people,
• Independently make routine and non-routine business decisions and
• Use judgments in planning and using resources, services and processes to achieve the specified business outcomes.

 

In this course the participant will learn to:

• Manage quality customer service
• Ensure that the workplaces are safe
• Manage budget and finances
• Manage project and operations and
• Recruit, select, induct staff and manage their performance

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. The qualification provides a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work and /or the work of a team.

This Diploma has been developed under the Australian Qualifications Framework and as such it is a government accredited and nationally recognised course

The duration of this course is 46 weeks altogether, plus 6 weeks term break Students must attend lectures and practical for 20 hours a week, face-to-face.
Entry requirements for this certificate are: literacy and mathematical skills of 11-12 years of school standard and a minimum of 5.5 in IELTS score. If your IELTS score is less than 5.5 you will be advised to take a 12 weeks ELICOS course at CIBT.
Tuition fee for this qualification is A$ 8, 000/ excluding enrolment and equipment/materials fee. Enrolment fee is A$ 200/- There will be an additional charge of A$ 200/- for books, materials and supplies.
